Lumen Artis #199: Robert Burns Table Lodge in Cheyenne

Saturday, February 11, 2023 - 5:00pm   to   10:00pm

Description

On behalf of Acacia Lodge No. 11, I would like to invite you to plan to participate in our biennial Robert Burns Table Lodge, next to be held Saturday evening, February 11, 2023, at the Cheyenne Shrine Club.  This Table Lodge, tiled on the Entered Apprentice Degree celebrates the life of Brother “Rabbie” Burns, the Bard of Scotland.  Traditionally, the Lodge is hosted by Acacia Lodge No. 11 with Past Masters, Officers and Members of Cheyenne Lodge No. 1, Western Star Lodge No. 6, and Capital Lodge No. 54, participating. The event begins at 6:00 pm with the Piping and Presentation of the Colors. In the tradition of Robert Burns Suppers, this will be followed by toasting and a celebration of the life of Brother Burns including sharing his poetry and music. The keynote of any Robert Burns Supper is the presentation of the Immortal Memory of Robert Burns. The highlight of the evening will be in partaking of a gourmet Celtic dinner prepared by the internationally recognized “Celtic Chef”, Chef Eric McBride. The full cast for the evening toasts is yet to be determined.

As in the past, we encourage all participants to proudly wear their kilts, although this is not required. The Lodge is held on the Entered Apprentice Degree, and we encourage you to invite your Entered Apprentice and Fellow Craft Brothers. There will be an ice breaker from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Wine and juices will be provided for the toasts. We anticipate the event will last approximately 3½  hours.

The cost of the Table Lodge is $50.00 each, tables of six may be reserved for $250.00 and tickets can be purchased from members of Acacia No. 11.

Members of Lumen Artis #199 should contact Russell Mason, Secretary at secretary@LumenArtisLodge.com for ticket information.
